FULL MISSION SHIP HANDLING SIMULATOR

Description:
The simulator consists of one Instructor Station, one Main Ownship and two secondary ownships. The specifications of the simulator are fully compliant with STCW78/95 Convention. Integrated ship bridge, ship control devices, radar simulation, ECDIS are included in each ownship. Main Ownship has one binocular channel and one visual system with 270 degrees HFOV using one cylindrical screen and seven channels. Each secondary ownship has one visual system with 120 degrees HFOV using flat screen and three channels.

Integrated bridge and equipments

Each bridge consists of five consoles, one dual-throttle, and one steering wheel. Some control panel are included: Steering system; Engine control; Mimic compass and control panel; Throttle (dual control) and control panel; Steering wheel and accessories; InterComm (VHF); GPS panel; Radar Control Panel; two Tracking Balls; Chart Table; Anchor Control Panel; Mooring Line control panel; Tug Control panel; Bow thruster and stern thruster control panel; Navigation lights control panel; Log and Echo sounder control panel; Ship's air horn control; For main ownship there is a binocular control panel.

More than 15 Visual databases of harbors are included in the system, include:

Instructor Station
The instructor station offers the instructor with user friendly interfaces by interactive and window technique. With all these interfaces, the instructor can do the followings conveniently:
Create and edit various exercises
Choosing the exercise type, exercise subject, area and chart number etc
Setting own ship's information, such as ship type, ship name and loading status
Setting traffic vessel's information including ship type, ship name, speed, position of  way point and inserting, deleting , editing operations of way point
Setting environment conditions such as wind, current, tide, time and visibility etc
Controlling and terminating the operation of the system. , monitoring every own ship, pause and resume exercise for debrief
Implement failures to create emergency situations, such as failure of main engine,failure of steering gears etc
record and print simulating result
Communication with each ownship by VHF
